Management Program

The Michelson Organization’s Management Training Program will train you to manage one of its nationwide, premier apartment communities consisting of 200 to 700 apartment homes.  The Program provides exposure to multiple aspects of the property management industry which trains the Management Associate to:

  • Lease apartment homes using the Engaging Leasing Method
  • Manage a team of community employees
  • Budget, analyze, and monitor community income and expenses
  • Create and effectively implement marketing strategies to retain high occupancy levels

Career Path

Management Associate's start their career path at one of the communities near their current location.  The on-site training provides the foundation for the Property Management program. This pivotal, 4-6 week period, trains the associate utilizing the Engaging Leasing Method, a unique method responsible for revenue generation of $6,000-$15,000 per year per sale.  After the initial training period, the Management Associate will be relocated to one of Michelson’s 30+ premier apartment communities acting as a Leasing Consultant. Pending  performance, Management Associates earn an Assistant Manager Position within 6-18 months, followed by Community Manager within 3-5 years.  Top Management Associates will be promoted to Area Manager overseeing a portfolio of communities.

Desired qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a strong scholastic and extracurricular activity record.
  • Preferable sales and marketing experience
  • Strong leadership, analytic, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Willing to relocate, often more than once.
